Partial Hospitalization Programs at Hampton Behavioral Health Center

Adult Partial Hospitalization Program

The Adult PHP utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment team of psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, licensed therapists and other mental health professionals to assess and treat patients. Each client receives a psychiatric evaluation upon entering the program and is treated by a member of the medical staff for medication management. Patients also participate in group therapy, psycho-educational groups and lectures. An individualized treatment plan, discharge plan and social support network are created for each individual’s unique needs.

The Adult PHP is provided Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at both Hampton Counseling Center locations. Lunch is provided.

The Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospitalization Program

The Dual Diagnosis PHP is designed for patients that are dealing with both mental health and substance abuse issues. Upon entering the program, patients receive a psychiatric evaluation, a clinical assessment and substance abuse assessment. The Dual Diagnosis PHP utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment team of psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, licensed therapists, alcohol and drug counselors and other mental health professionals to assess and treat patients.

An important component of treatment is participation in the 12-step process. Patients also receive group therapy, psycho-educational groups and dual diagnosis specific counseling. A member of Hampton’s medical staff provides medication management. An individualized treatment plan, discharge plan and social support network are created for each individual’s unique needs.

The Dual Diagnosis PHP is provided Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at both Hampton Counseling Center locations.

Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

The Adolescent PHP is designed for adolescents ages of 12 to 17 (18-year olds may attend if still in high school) dealing with mental health and emotional issues. Each adolescent receives a psychiatric evaluation and clinical assessment. The Adolescent PHP utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of a psychiatrist, advanced practice nurse, licensed therapists and other mental health professionals. Adolescents participate in psychoeducational groups and learn to develop positive coping and communication skills, conflict resolution skills, anger management skills and receive alcohol and drug abuse education. Hampton’s medical staff provides medication management. A certified teacher is also available to ensure that patients remain current with school assignments. An individualized treatment plan, discharge plan and social support network are created for each individual’s unique needs.

The Adolescent PHP is provided Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Westampton location. Tutoring is offered from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Military Partial Hospitalization Program

Hampton Behavioral Health Center has successfully provided treatment and specialized military programming for service members and their families for the past 28 years. Hampton Behavioral Health Center offers advanced behavioral health, diagnostic and treatment services for servicemen and women, veterans and their dependents.

The Military Full Day PHP is provided daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Military Half Day PHP is provided daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The focus of this program is reintegration into civilian life.
