Today we hear from Keelia, MHA, on her thoughts on hope and community connection in honor of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. For Keelia, hope is knowing that bad aren’t permanent. If you hit rock bottom, the only place to go is up. She cultivates hope by choosing to be positive. Positivity is contagious and she can spread that message to instill hope in others. She stays connected with her community through humor, social media and sharing her experience with mental health to let others know they are not alone. “It can, will, and does get better and sharing my story is a way of giving back to my community,” she tells us.
